The Body Navigator is a tool on the web page of the University Hospital Zürich.

The University Hospital of Zürich has a huge amount of specialized departments which mostly are named and described with professional medical jargon. As a new patient, it isn't easy to find the right department. Especially because the hospital has many foreigner patients for whom it can be difficult the even know where to start looking. This navigation tool enables the patients to choose a body part to see all the departments associated with it.
THE CHALLENGE
The client needed a visual navigation tool that enables the patient to quickly find the right department for their needs.
THE SOLUTION
I created a female and male avatar illustration with all the vital organs. Together with a programmer, we created an interactive tool that enables the patient to see the department associated with the specific body part that is highlighted.
